Hylky 1684: Saattohoito
Hylky 1684: Saattohoito -installaatio on yhteisöllisesti toteutettu teos, joka avaa paikallista merellistä kulttuuriperintöä ja suistoalueen arkeologiaa poikkeuksellisella tavalla. Vierailijat voivat jättää hylylle tervehdyksen ja osallistua yhteiseen pohdintaan kulttuuriperinnön merkityksestä.
Oulun museon museolehtori Katariina Vuori on paikalla perjantaina klo 16.00–17.00 sekä lauantaina ja sunnuntaina klo 14.00–15.00 kertomassa installaation taustoista. Jokainen tuokio alkaa helpolla ja leikkisällä strukturoidulla runoharjoituksella, jonka kautta tarkastellaan hylyn, ajan, hoivan ja muutoksen olemusta. Harjoitus sopii kaikenikäisille eikä vaadi ilmoittautumista.
Hylky 1684: Saattohoito -installaatio on esillä Merimiehenkotimuseon piha-alueella Suistotaidepäivien ajan.
Wreck 1684: End-of-Life Care is a collaboratively created installation that offers an unconventional perspective on the local maritime cultural heritage and the archaeology of the estuary area. Visitors can leave a greeting at the wreck and take part in a shared reflection on the significance of cultural heritage.
Katariina Vuori, Museum Educator at the Oulu Museum, will be present on Friday from 4:00–5:00 pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 2:00–3:00 pm to talk about the background of the installation. Each session begins with an easy and playful structured poetry exercise, through which participants explore the essence of the wreck, time, care, and change. The exercise is suitable for all ages and does not require registration.
Wreck 1684: End-of-Life Care will be on display in the courtyard of the Seaman’s Home Museum throughout the Oulu Delta Art Days.
