Juho Lapinlampi Pimeä Aine is a new quintet led by Oulu-based jazz guitarist Juho Lapinlampi, set to release its debut full-length album during the summer of 2026. The group’s music guides listeners into dark yet mysteriously beautiful soundscapes. In his compositions, Lapinlampi often combines supernatural, otherworldly, and even tragic themes familiar from metal music with the modal language of 1960s jazz, creating a space where listeners can briefly step into the unknown — a musical form of dark matter that reflects no light.
