The quartet Kaisa's Machine, piloted by the award-winning double bassist Kaisa Mäensivu, was founded in the fall of 2015, and since their first performance, Masiina has aroused a growing interest. The band has performed at world-renowned jazz clubs, such as London's Ronnie Scott's and New York's Smalls Jazz Club, as well as at several major domestic and foreign jazz festivals.
Kaisa's Machine's first album, In the Key of K, released in 2017, presents a mature vision of modern jazz and the seamless collaboration of a quality band in the form of Mäensivu's compositions. Constantly looking for new routes and moving in an increasingly personal direction, the energetic bubbling band brings the multi-layered music of Mäensivu to life.
