Airientation (Air Guitar -themed word play of the word “orientation”) is a happy reunion of the Air Guitar family, the best chance to meet old and new air guitar community members and the best way to start the Air Guitar World Championships week! Newbies, random visitors and local Oulu-people are all welcome.

around city centre, starting point in the info letter sent to participants

13:00 – short movie “Lady Attila”

Ghosts and Crimes

The ghost and crime walk in Oulu offers a chilling glimpse into history: murders, mysteries, misery, superstitions and local legends.

Hear stories about the last executioner, the haunted sailor in a dungeon and the witch who took a magical flight to celebrate witches’ sabbath. Perhaps you might even catch a glimpse of the Grey lady or the Devil, who left his rock in Oulu. See real murder locations, investigate the history of crime, justice and punishment. And finally, learn why the spirits are still in Oulu.

Lady Attila

“Agathe loves tractors and…rock! She works in the family farm machinery garage with her father and brother. When she finds out about an upcoming AirGuitar contest, she decides to enter, but her brother doesn’t see it that way. “

Before the short movie, we will see a video performance by school kids:

“The fourth-grade class at Heimersheim Elementary School rehearsed an air guitar performance with David Monreal —aka Uncle Udo—to present it at their grand farewell celebration before parents, teachers, and representatives from the city of Bad Neuenahr. The class teacher approached David because his eldest son is in her class, and—being a fan of handmade rock music herself—she wanted to try something a little different. She was well aware that, as Uncle Udo, Monreal indulges in a rather peculiar hobby. And so it came to pass that, in the summer of 2025, over twenty students from Class 4b brought the Landskroner Festhalle to its foundations with a medley specially arranged for the occasion.”
