Afterparty Club: Mallaslabra

The Thursday club will be held at Mallaslabra in Pikisaari in collaboration with Uleåborg Festival of Psychedelia.

MÖYHY-VEIKOT

MÖYHY-VEIKOT, originally the yin and yang of the Finnish rock scene, mixes in their “music” themes that your average Joe doesn’t usually encounter in everyday life. Their subject matter ranges from the barrel stories of Jari Aarnio to deep-wilderness cranial measurements of Kekkonen — maybe even Vesa Keskinen’s boot model from ’94.

In recent years, their base of operations shifted to Los Angeles, USA. However, the atmosphere there has been tense lately, and making music without a Green Card has become increasingly difficult. That’s why MÖYHY-VEIKOT have once again temporarily turned their focus back to Finland.

Over the course of their nearly 10-year career, they’ve released five full-length albums — the latest of which is titled Top 10 Leffat (“Top 10 Movies”).

VJ Jani Pitkänen

Jani Pitkänen has been working as a VJ since 2014. Over the years, he has performed everywhere from the dim corners of rock and techno clubs to the crisp winter light festivals across Finland. Jani’s main visual influences come from old-school liquid visuals and glitch techniques.
