After party: Salaċ, Max Kelan, Jukka Nousiainen, VHS-klubi, Serot, VJ Arttu Nieminen, VJ trashbin666, DJ Matti Aikio
Salaċ are a sacred duo drenched in dirt, wine and blood, hailing from separate cold corners of the occult world. Intersecting pagan ritualism with industrial choral alchemy, together they sculpt séances of sacred sound; igniting fires through walls of noise, voice, disjointed rhythm structures and intense ceremonial performance.
Max Kelan is a Bristol-based artist, musician, vocalist and the chief visual artist of the Young Echo art collective. An active figure in the Bristol music scene, Kelan plays in Bad Tracking is a part of Avon Terror Corps and deejays on Noods Radio. Music videos directed by Kelan have a lo-fi aesthetic with possessed VHS static delivered with a punk/DIY-attitude. Directing videos for artists such as Om Unit, Hodge, SEEKERSINTERNATIONAL, Giant Swan and Ossia, Kelan has played a part in visualizing the cutting edge of today’s bass music. Before the screening, Kelan will perform as the other half of Salaċ
Scruffy looks, guitar-based rock music and socially aware lyrics are not an uncommon combination, but Jukka Nousiainen has managed to create something magical from these elements. Nousiainen has been praised all around the Finnish music scene from the DIY-underground to the major music press for his songwriting. His mastery of the craft shines in live situations so this is not a show to be missed.
Genre defying live-trio Serot combine house and techno with acoustic elements. Danceable grooves built upon traditional band instrumentation and overlaid with elemnts from loops, samplers, drum machines and synths. Serot forces you to get into the groove and onto the dancefloor. The band favors interaction with the crowd throughout the show, as the music progresses and adds improvised elements to the song structures.

A way to face the fossil capitalist world and boredom, VJ trashbin666 is an experiment to create otherworldly VJ art from escapism, clumsiness and meaninglessness. Digital trash that we see every day is catapulted into hyper drive with humour and an experimental mindset, creating something completely different.
Matti Aikio is a part of the Insomnia festival crew from Tromssa. On Friday Aikio has the last slot of the night. A vinyl DJ whose sets fuse interesting rhythms from slightly off kilter disco, house and techno.
