After party: Draama-Helmi, Central, Möyhy-Veikot, VJ Indigo, Malsson

Draama-Helmi is not an easy artist to box in. Her eccentric brand of hip hop with weird lyrics is mesmerizing. Draama-Helmi’s own description of her music could be roughly translated as blurry rap. Hard to grasp? The hypnotic video for Kukkuu is a fine introduction to the peculiar world of Draama-Helmi.

Central is a Danish producer and DJ whose uncanny ear for melodies has brought him to the forefront of artists that make quality house. His cloudy tracks never lose forward momentum and evoke nostalgia whilst nevertheless still managing to push the envelope. Central is a part of the well revered Regelblau collective that include the likes of C.K. and DJ Sports. Central has just released his new full length Om Dance which is full of the lush garage house tinged dancefloor scorchers he is known for.

Möyhy-Veikot bring us an explosion of psychedelic music with additional hippie tomfoolery and constant blasts of experimental video art. Möyhy-Veikot get their ideas from YouTube, teletext personal ads and from headlines in the yellow press. Truth is distorted to a point of no return. Get ready to drop out of life with a 5,5% long drink in hand.

Hailing from Helsinki, VJ Indigo is a long time VJ as well as a producer and a DJ. Being active since the dawn of the nineties, Indigo brings stunningly beautiful imagery to 45 Special. In his shows, Indigo makes the everyday world look like a fairytale.

Malsson is a part of the new generation of vinyl deejays from Oulu. He’ll set the tone for Saturday night’s party with his set of soulful rap and soul tunes. Malsson has played at local venues like 45 Special and Zivago as well as various underground parties as part of the Space Installation DJs crew.
